Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil

Argan Oil

What is it?

Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree that is endemic to Morocco.

What are the benefits?

Argan Oil contains a natural abundance of Vitamin E, Omega 6 and Antioxidants giving it phenomenal moisturising capabilities and anti-aging properties. It contains 8 essential fatty acids and plant sterols, which are renowned for their anti-inflammatory ability and perfect for acne, skin problems and wrinkles.

Ingredients starting with the letter B. Starting with Beeswax.

Cera Alba


What is it?

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees. The wax is formed into scales by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees, which discard it in or at the hive.

What are the benefits?

The anti-inflammatory properties of beeswax encourage the healing of wounds. It is also protective, helping form a barrier between the skin and the environment without clogging pores. Beeswax is high in vitamin A, which has been found to support cell reconstruction and health.

Lavandula Angustifolia

Lavender Oil

What is it?

Lavender oil is an essential oil obtained by distillation from the flower spikes of certain species of lavender.

What are the benefits?

Lavender oil works to kill bacteria, and this can prevent and heal acne breakouts. It unclogs pores and reduces inflammation when you put it on your skin. Since lavender has anti-fungal properties and reduces inflammation, it can help keep eczema and psoriasis at bay.

Lavender oil is full of antioxidants, which help protect you from the free radicals that are partly responsible for the fine lines and wrinkles on the face. It can reduce discolouration, dark spots, blotchiness and redness whilst promoting the healing of skin tissue.

Butyrospermum Parkii

Shea Butter

What is it?

Shea butter is a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree.

What are the benefits?

Due to its high concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins, shea butter is an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using shea butter on your body, especially your face, can condition, tone, and soothe your skin. 

Shea butter also helps create a smooth and soft barrier on the skin that seals in moisture for several hours. It is also reported that shea butter also has anti-ageing properties which could be related to promoting collagen production or decreasing the breakdown of collagen that’s already present.

Vitamin E

What is it?

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin E actually refers to a group of compounds. Vitamin E is the name given to a family of oil-soluble antioxidants. It is found in nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables.

What are the benefits?

Vitamin E can be very helpful for a range of skin disorders, as well as skin repair. It assists in various kinds of cellular restoration from sun damage to healing support for scars or burns. Vitamin E fights off free radicals on the skin, which are a result of daily environmental stressors like unprotected sun exposure and air pollution. In fighting off free radicals, vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage.

Additionally, vitamin E has moisturising and healing benefits, and helps to strengthen the skin barrier function. Vitamin E is also a natural anti-inflammatory so it can be soothing and help calm the skin.
